BIO:
Anniela Marie (“Annie”) Gonzalez is a South Texas native who was raised in Mission, Texas. Raised in the Catholic faith, Annie credits her upbringing with shaping the values of integrity, humility, and dedication that continue to guide her both personally and professionally.
Annie, earned her bachelor’s in social sciences with a minor in legal studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, graduating Summa Cum Laude, before pursuing her legal education at Saint Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated in 2026. In the same year, she was admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
During law school, Annie gained valuable practical experience through the Consumer Protection Clinic, where she advocated for underprivileged tenants and helped individuals navigate housing-related legal challenges. This experience provided hands-on litigation exposure. She further expanded her legal education through Saint Mary’s School of Law Study Abroad Program at the University of Innsbruck in Innsbruck, Austria during the summer of 2025, where she studied international human rights and international business transactions. In addition, Annie is a certified mediator with experience in alternative dispute resolution.
Annie also served as a law clerk with Jones, Galligan, Key & Lozano, where she assisted with a broad range of transactional and litigation matters, including oil and gas leasing, eminent domain proceedings, and civil litigation. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in property law while refining her legal research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Annie eventually began clerking for Mazurek, Belden and Burke in the beginning of her third year of law school.
Annie was an active member of the Hispanic Law Students Association and the Women in Law Association at Saint Mary’s.
Outside of her legal career, Annie enjoys golfing, cooking, going to concerts, and traveling abroad with her best friends to experience new cuisines.
And as a San Antonio Spurs fan, she enjoys attending games throughout the season.
