After high school, Joe attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2005.
Joe continued his education at South Texas College of Law where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2009. After law school, Joe began his legal career working in-house for a small operator in Midland. Shortly thereafter, he moved to San Antonio to pursue his career as a title examiner. In 2014, Joe joined the firm as an associate attorney. Prior to becoming a shareholder in 2018, Joe earned his board certification in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Today, Joe’s practice is concentrated on oil and gas legal advising, with an emphasis on title examination. Joe is licensed to practice law in Texas, Ohio, Oklahoma and Utah, and he handles issues for clients located in several states. Furthermore, he is responsible for monthly in-house continuing legal education presentations where he teaches the firm’s attorneys about various aspects of oil and gas law and keeps them apprised of changes in the law.
As a third generation Aggie, Joe continues to support his alma mater. During the fall season, he can be found in College Station supporting the Aggies on most Saturdays.
