Seth grew up in the small towns of Keene and Gun Barrel City, Texas. After high school, Seth graduated with a Finance Degree from Texas Tech University in 2006, and graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2009. During law school, Seth was an Articles Editor for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Minority Issues.
Prior to joining Mazurek, Belden & Burke, P.C. in March of 2016, Seth worked for a South Texas Oil and Gas Firm. As a Managing Associate Attorney with MBB, Seth’s responsibilities focus on oil and gas title examination, encompassing leasehold acquisition, drilling, and division order title opinions for clients in Texas and Oklahoma.
Seth also has extensive experience in business and commercial law. He works very closely with entrepreneurs and private business owners to resolve wide ranging issues including: Non-Compete Agreements, Trade Secret Protection, Breach of Fiduciary Duty Claims, Contract Negotiations and Disputes, Purchase and Sale Agreements, and Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) claims. Seth has advocated for clients in federal and state courts throughout the country and he is licensed to practice in Texas and Oklahoma.
In law school, Seth met his wife, Rachel, while she was pursuing her master’s degree. They were married in July of 2009, have a wonderful daughter, C.C., and are avid dog lovers. Seth is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending all of his spare time with his beautiful wife and daughter.
